Natural Sacred Aussie Beauty

 Earth Day serves as a conscious reminder of how fragile our planet is and how important it is to protect it.

I want to create awareness about how important Bees are to our Earth and why Bees are the most invaluable species. Who would want a world without honey, flowers, and third of everything we eat including chocolate and coffee? Not me.

 When it comes to beauty and makeup, Aussie Beauty Brand from Byron Bay Eye of Horus is a cruelty free, paraben free and uses natural, sacred and organic ingredients. What is most important to me, is that it uses certified sustainable sourced beeswax in their Goddess Mascara and Pencils, this ensures the wax is a by product and no bees were harmed.

As a “Model of Compassion” it is my responsibility as a role model to live a conscious and active lifestyle that reflects making change locally and globally through taking action and spreading awareness.

I have been a volunteer and a positive role model and ambassador for Save The Bees Australia for 5+ Years.

My passion and life’s purpose is to spread awareness and embody conscious healthy loving living.

I am a Naturopath and Nutritionist and am currently studying positive psychology and life coaching. I am passionate about influencing and educating people on saving the bees and I have literally saved colonies from extermination. I think it’s important for people to be educated Bees—they pollinate almost all the food we eat. They are amazing!

If we work to look after Bees and their environment, it becomes a collaboration with them. We can create a better world, for everything – plants, animals and humans. We just need to start asking, how can we contribute – what do we have to give?

When we are not doing this, which we can see reflected in much of the world around us right now, we are out of balance with the natural world around us.

For a start, I don’t support the treatment and misuse of animals for our consumption, production or testing. That is why Eye Of The Horus aligns with my values. they only use certified sustainable sourced beeswax in their Goddess Mascara and Pencils.

I set about researching the question, is beeswax ethical? And is it Ok to be used in Makeup?

I came to the decision to use Beeswax, and here’s why;

1. Ethical Beeswax does exist;

If beeswax is from a local beekeeper –  The native bees are wild and free so the wax is an excess bi-product of the honey that is ethically sourced; meaning there is always more than enough for the bees. Unlike in hives that are in mass production, and they are not forced to produce honey/ wax in excess.

Happy bees = Happy Honey = Ethical Beeswax.

I only buy raw and local honey and always say no to commercial honey that you buy in the stores because the practices are not sustainable and not kind to bees.

How do we protect the bees environment and well-being?

We can do this, by asking ourselves how we can contribute to living in a ‘Reciprocal’ way with the world around us. Can this be reflected in our daily decisions  i.e. buying organic seeds, not supporting/using GMO products, doing bio-dynamic gardening, growing flowers and plants that bees love, like Lavender, Rosemary and Daisy.

In doing so, we take conscious steps, to live in a conscious way –  in balance and harmony with the world around us.

Flowers and Bees represent vitality and life. It is a beautiful thing!

When you align yourself with happiness, love and health everything about your life transforms and your goals manifest with ease and grace. I believe that by living a conscious lifestyle you will create an abundant life full of meaning.

Happy Earth Day.
